I have always wanted to go to Russia because I have my ancestry in there from the side of my grandpa. When we were younger he told us stories about Russia before the time of the cold war and somehow those stories also made me want to go there to see what this country is like. I had an opportunity to do so by going with my friends to an adventure holidays there through the website www.bestrussiantour.com which my friend discovered some months back. I was really excited as this would be my first time here in this foreign country where my gradfather lived when he was young. I made sure to visit all the sites he mentioned and even all the museum that I think were relevant, and of course than included the tank museum and the cosmonaut museum which I suppose is the highlight of my trip there as I was a big fan of the space program between Russia and the US back in the 60s and 70s. It amazing to see those machines and the history of those cosmonauts who are engraved in history. I even got to try their space simulators which was real fun as I had dreamed of flying those shuttles when I was a younger.
